Nero DS Opaco is the matte variant of Ferrari's standard non-metallic black paint. It's a color which is rather rarely seen and only features on Tailor Made cars. Ferrari’s configurator lists it among its matt paints simply as "Nero Opaco"; the only gloss black in the same configurator is Nero DS. The name is at least as old as the Enzo: RM Sotheby’s describes chassis 136069, specified new by a member of the Brunei royal family and delivered in 2004, as "the only Enzo finished in Matte Nero Opaco by Ferrari" (Sealed September auction, 2026).

Nero Daytona has been on the standard paint range for Ferrari's for a long time. This is a metallic black paint option while there's usually also a solid black available. The metallic flake is really subtle and only truly noticeable up close or under direct sunlight.
