About Nero Daytona
Nero Daytona has been on the standard paint range for Ferrari's for a long time. This is a metallic black paint option while there's usually also a solid black available. The metallic flake is really subtle and only truly noticeable up close or under direct sunlight.
The story of Nero Daytona
Nero Daytona carries the nickname the press gave the 365 GTB4 after Ferrari's one-two-three at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours — Amon and Bandini winning in the 330 P4, Wikipedia records — when sporting director Franco Lini had the three leading cars cross the line side by side — though Ferrari has not said in anything found that the paint was named for it. The earliest car found cataloged under the paint name is a 550 Maranello delivered in Turin on 22 March 2000. On the Enzo it was rare: Bonhams sold a car delivered in September 2004, described as one of twelve ordered in Nero Daytona, for €3,910,000 in Paris in February 2024. In 2018 Ferrari offered it as one of four racing-inspired colors for the Tailor Made Piloti Ferrari 488 Pista, alongside Rosso Corsa, Blu Tour de France and Argento Nürburgring.
