About Nerotto Lucido
Estimated from the dominant body color of the carpaints.co photo (Ferrari 812 Competizione; 41% of frame). Nerotto Lucido is a customer-specified paint developed through Ferrari’s Tailor Made Atelier program and first seen on the 488. Although officially categorized as a black finish, "Nerotto" referring to a variation of black, it can appear more like a dark blue, particularly in direct sunlight. The two-layer paint contains a strong metallic flake that reveals subtle blue and green undertones, giving the color added depth and complexity.
The story of Nerotto Lucido
Nerotto Lucido is a two-layer metallic black documented on a 2024 812 Competizione, chassis ZFF03TLA7R0306866, ordered through Ferrari's Tailor Made program in New York and first delivered to Scottsdale Ferrari. Bring a Trailer offered the car in April 2025, describing it as delivered from the factory in Extra Range Nerotto Lucido with Bianco Sanae stripes; bidding reached $1,615,000 against a sticker price of $820,538 and the reserve was not met. Carpaints.co lists the paint under PPG code 0153 as a two-layer finish, says the custom paintwork cost just under $40,000 and was created at Ferrari's Tailor Made studio in New York, and notes that in sunlight the black takes on a dark blue tone with a subtle green undertone.
