The story of Transitional Ametista
Ametista is one of the "transitional carbon" hues that Ferrari's Tailor Made offers solely for the Daytona SP3, the only current Ferrari with an entire body of exposed carbon fiber: tints named after precious stones and metals — Rubino, Zaffiro, Malachite, Ambra, Oro and Ametista — under which, Ferrari's magazine says, the car "appears to glow with a barely perceptible hue" that enriches the weave rather than masking it. Amethyst is the violet variety of quartz, Wikipedia notes. The Ferrari Colors blog lists the tint as "Trans Amestista"; no page documents a car in it.
