About Grigio Isabel
Estimated from the body panels of the ROSSOautomobili photo (812 GTS, photo TMT Motor Company): the door reads #5a5456 (74% of the sampled region), the rear quarter #544f51 and the front fender, in brighter light, #726c6f; the value shown is the door. The owner who commissioned the color calls it a dark gray on FerrariChat. Corrected 2026-10-28: the earlier value (#9e979a) came from a whole-frame sample that read the pale surroundings rather than the paint. ROSSOautomobili lists it in "34 Ferrari colors you have never heard about".
The story of Grigio Isabel
Grigio Isabel is a Tailor Made gray created in March 2018 by a UK owner for an 812 Superfast. Writing on FerrariChat after the Tailor Made appointment, the owner described an unused color newly supplied by PPG, a triple-layer dark gray mica paint, and said the family named it Grigio Isabel after their first granddaughter. The car's livery took its theme from the one-off 1953 166 MM Oblin Barchetta, a dark car with a rich red stripe on the hood and sills, rendered in Rosso Maranello. ROSSOautomobili adds that the color debuted on a UK-supplied 812 Superfast and pictures an 812 GTS photographed by TMT Motor Company, and Ferrari's Tailor Made site later used matte Grigio Isabel for the interior aluminum details and tread plate of an 812 Competizione in Arcobaleno.
