About Rubino Micalizzato
The paint looks dark red / burgundy under low light conditions but when seen in direct sunlight it livens up with brighter red higlights and a gold-ish bronze undertone in the metallic flake.
The story of Rubino Micalizzato
Rubino Micalizzato is a dark red that carries Ferrari paint code 324, listed by carpaints.co as a two-layer metallic supplied by PPG and shown on a 599 GTO, a 12Cilindri and a Purosangue. ROSSOautomobili described it in 2020 as possibly the darkest Ferrari red, available only on request and not part of the regular palette. A UK dealer offered a left-hand-drive 2008 599 in Rubino Micalizzato over Crema hide, calling the paint a rare two-layer finish and the darkest red in Ferrari's palette and the car an example of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti personalization program; PaintScratch sells touch-up paint for the color under code 324. It is a different paint from Rosso Rubino, the 1960s–80s red with its own codes. Rubino is Italian for ruby, the red variety of corundum, as Wikipedia defines it.
