About Rosso Kapoor
Rosso Kapoor is one of the many red paint options offered by Ferrari, but it stands out being one of the rarest to see. This bespoke color was created through Ferrari’s Tailor Made program at the request of a specific customer, who had it named after them. At first glance, it looks similar to Ferrari’s iconic Rosso Corsa , but Rosso Kapoor is slightly lighter and features a bold bronze-orange metallic flake that gives it a distinctive shimmer. It's a very rare paint, seen on only a handful of Ferrari models.
The story of Rosso Kapoor
Rosso Kapoor was named for Dr. Anmol Kapoor, a Calgary cardiologist who commissioned a one-off 488 Pista through Ferrari's Tailor Made program as a homage to Michael Schumacher. According to a July 2021 Vicarious Magazine profile, Kapoor received his Pista allocation in February 2018, decided on a Tailor Made build that summer, and visited the Maranello studio in March 2019 with Ferrari of Alberta. His wife said she did not want another red Ferrari and suggested orange; the result was a racing red with a gold flake that changes with the light. Ferrari sent a paint sample in 2019 and proposed the name "Rosso Kapoor"; the car was completed in September 2020 and delivered in December.
