The story of Amaranto Bull Lea
Amaranto Bull Lea belongs to a group of late-1960s Pininfarina colors that ROSSOautomobili says were named after Thoroughbred racehorses, available as an option from the late 1960s through the 1970s. The 330 GT Registry reproduces a PPG/Italver chip set it dates to the later 365 models, after PPG bought Italver, in which chip 2.442.413 is Amaranto Bull Lea, beside Rosso Nearco, Nero Dark Ronald, Grigio Mahmoud and Oro Kelso; a Ditzler paint book on the same page lists "Bull Lea Maroon" for 1963–69. Bull Lea, foaled in 1935, was Calumet Farm's foundation sire.
