About Rosso California
Estimated from the dominant body color of the ROSSOautomobili photo (Roma; 54% of frame). Listed in Ferrari's official car configurator (2026) as "ROSSO CALIFORNIA" under 2-layer special paint.
The story of Rosso California
Ferrari's own magazine places Rosso California among the newer generation of its reds, grouping it with Rosso Portofino as "complex metallics" and noting that such contemporary colors have often been launched together with a new model. It has been specified on other models too: Ferrari of San Francisco sold a Ferrari Approved 2022 812 GTS, chassis 275537, whose factory options listed "2 Layers Special Paints (Rosso California)" over a Sabbia interior and whose build summary called it an off-catalogue paint color.
