About Rosso Maranello
Estimated from the dominant body color of the carpaints.co photo (Ferrari Purosangue; 47% of frame). Rosso Maranello is named after Ferrari's own 'hometown' of Maranello in Italy. It's a three layer metallic red which is a bit darker and a lot deeper than the commonly seen Rosso Corsa.
The story of Rosso Maranello
Rosso Maranello takes its name from Ferrari's home town; carpaints.co lists it as a three-layer metallic red made by PPG. Dated cars show it in use from the FF era: a UK specialist offered a 2012 FF finished in Rosso Maranello with Cuoio Toscano leather. No Ferrari page names the color, and no auction catalog with a chassis number was found. Maranello, Wikipedia records, is a town of some 17,500 in the province of Modena, home of Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari.
