About Blu Minerale
Blu Minerale is a modern Ferrari metallic paint from the extended color range. It was introduced as a renamed and subtly revised evolution of the earlier Blu Elder. As part of Ferrari’s broader decision to move away from color names referencing individuals, Blu Elder was rebranded as Blu Minerale late 2025, retaining the same paint code. Alongside the name change, the color itself seems to have subtly changed as it is ever so slightly darker. Visually, Blu Minerale is a light to medium blue with a desaturated character and a distinct purple undertone. Its defining feature is the pronounced gold and bronze metallic flake, which gives the color significant depth and causes it to transform dramatically under direct sunlight, shifting from a muted blue in shade to a warm, almost luminous tone outdoors. The “Minerale” naming is also seen elsewhere in Ferrari’s palette, most notably with Verde
