'Shoot/sprout green' – chartreuse. 308 GT4 catalogue color.
The story of Verde Germoglio
Verde Germoglio is the bright green of the Dino era; germoglio means sprout, and RM Sotheby's translated it as "Bud Green". RM's Paris 2019 catalog for Dino 246 GT chassis 01406, delivered in December 1970, says the color arrived with the 1970 M-series Dinos and that only 69 were finished in it; Gooding's Rétromobile 2026 catalog for 246 GT 02566 gives the same count. 308-328.com lists it among the 308 GT4's 1973–80 codes as Glidden-Salchi 20-G-465, and carpaints.co records today's solid paint as PPG 1556 with a distinct yellow undertone. ROSSOautomobili pictures a modern 488 Pista Spider in it and dates the color to the 1960s and the first Dino.
