About Verde Dora
Verde Dora is a rare and elegant Ferrari paint color, first seen on Enzo Ferrari’s personal 400 Superamerica in the early 1960s and was reintroduced in 2023 through Piero Ferrari’s bespoke Purosangue, with Piero being directly inspired by his fathers car. Verde Dora is a two layer metallic, a light, refined shade of green that blends historic significance with a contemporary edge, exclusively available through Ferrari’s Tailor Made program. Today, Verde Dora stands out as a highly exclusive option, but it has to be said that it looks quite similar to other recent green Ferrari paints like Verde Minerale , Verde Francesca and the new Verde Nurburgring .
The story of Verde Dora
Verde Dora is the green of Enzo Ferrari's own 400 Superamerica. Ferrari's magazine, in June 2023, described Piero Ferrari's personalized Purosangue: the tone he chose is called Verde Dora, Dora Green, the color of the 400 Superamerica that belonged to his father, a car Enzo owned and drove in 1961 and 1962, with the Tailor Made designers' help; Motor1 added that the Superamerica rests, unrestored, at the Revs Institute in Florida. ROSSOautomobili pictures Ferrari's photograph of the Purosangue; carpaints.co lists today's PPG 0636 metallic, and Four Wheel Drift carries a period "Verde Dora MM 16348" in Max Meyer's numbering. Who Dora was, no page says.
