About Rosso Mugello
A darker, burgundy-like red: Ferrari's magazine describes it simply as darker than Rosso Corsa. Still a standard color in the configurator.
The story of Rosso Mugello
Rosso Mugello shares its name with the Mugello circuit in Tuscany, opened in 1974 and owned by Ferrari since 1988 as a test and event venue; the link between paint and circuit is stated by ROSSOautomobili, not by Ferrari, whose magazine describes the color only as darker than Rosso Corsa. It has stayed in the range: Ferrari's pre-owned portal lists a 2022 Roma and a 2025 Purosangue in the color, and it is offered on the Amalfi. Wikipedia and Grokipedia both record the circuit, in Scarperia e San Piero, as opened in 1974 and owned by Ferrari since 1988.
