The story of Azzurro Aurora Savadin
Azzurro Aurora Savadin is the light blue recorded on chassis 9439, the first of the four Pininfarina-bodied 330 GTC Speciales, which Gooding's catalog for the sister car says was sold to Princess Liliane de Réthy of Belgium. The coachbuilding database carrozzieri-italiani.com states that 9439 debuted at the 1967 Brussels motor show in Azzurro Aurora Savadin over black leather and that the princess kept it for 35 years; when Artcurial offered the car in Paris in June 2003 it did not sell, and Hagerty's record lists the exterior as Ice Blue. The second Speciale, chassis 9653, built for Dr. Michael DeBakey, was cataloged by Gooding as Azzurro Aurora without the Savadin suffix.
