About Grigio Coburn
Grigio Coburn is a newer Ferrari paint created by a customer through the Tailor Made Atelier and first featuring on a F12tdf in 2017. It's a multi-layer grey with a strong silver metallic flake which nicely accentuate the body lines of the car. The same client also has their own custom red paint, aptly called Rosso Coburn.
The story of Grigio Coburn
Grigio Coburn was created through Ferrari's Tailor Made program for Ian and Stephanie Coburn, clients near Nashville, Tennessee, whose red for an earlier Tailor Made 458 Speciale had already been named Rosso Coburn. Ferrari's magazine reports that their next project, an F12tdf, was inspired by the monochromatic "argent" tone of a 1960s 275 GTB; after experimentation in Maranello the couple settled on a shade that was named Grigio Coburn. Carpaints.co records PPG code 64077044, dates the first F12tdf to 2017 and describes a multi-layer gray with a strong silver metallic flake. Ferrari's Tailor Made site shows the color on an 812 GTS and an F8 Tributo, both with Argento Nürburgring stripes, and Ferrari of Tampa Bay sold a 2023 F8 Spider, chassis ZFF93LMA3P0291012, in glossy Grigio Coburn.
