About Arcobaleno Lucido
Arcobaleno Lucido is a new Ferrari paint and one of the most unique the brand offers. It literally translates from Italian to Shiny Rainbow, which might already give you a good idea on how it looks. It has a silver base tone with a unique rainbow metallic flake (something we've already seen Maserati use with their new Fuoriserie colors). This makes the paint go from a regular silver in low light conditions to quite literally a rainbow with the flake taking on nearly a full rainbow in direct sunlight. Even though it has an extremely expensive price tag of $125,000 we've already seen it featured on a handful of cars like the Daytona SP3 and a couple of 812 Competizione's.
The story of Arcobaleno Lucido
Arcobaleno Lucido is a recent Ferrari special paint. Ferrari's Tailor Made site describes an 812 Competizione with a light, lustrous gloss Arcobaleno paint finish, repeated inside as a livery in the same color on the air-conditioning vents, the rear bulkhead and a carbon insert behind the seats; Ferrari's page uses the single word Arcobaleno for the paint and "gloss" for its finish. ROSSOautomobili reports the color on an 812 Competizione as a silver paint with all kinds of colors mixed in and translates the name as "shiny rainbow". Carpaints.co lists it as a PPG pearlescent with a silver base and a rainbow metallic flake, quotes a price of $125,000, and says it has appeared on a Daytona SP3 and a couple of 812 Competiziones.
