About Rosso Passionale
A three-layer red created for the SP51, the Special Projects one-off roadster based on the 812 GTS (2022). Ferrari describes "its new Rosso Passionale three-layer paintwork – the color was developed specifically for the car and gives it an elegant yet imposing character".
The story of Rosso Passionale
Ferrari unveiled the SP51 on 28 September 2022 as the latest car in its One-Off series: a V12 spider on the 812 GTS platform with no roof, designed by Ferrari's styling center under Flavio Manzoni for a longstanding Taiwan-based client. Rosso Passionale, the three-layer color developed specifically for the car, is also the main color of the cabin's Alcantara trim, and the blue and white livery inspired by a 1955 Ferrari 410 S runs the length of the body and continues inside on the central tunnel and the fascia between the seats. Ferrari says its Special Projects program takes around two years per car, with the client closely involved.
