About Rosso F1-75 Opaco
The matte red of Scuderia Ferrari's 2022 F1-75, offered on road cars from March 2022 (see the story). The Ferrari Colors blog, carpaints.co and ROSSOautomobili list it under three spellings — Rosso Ferrari F1-75 Opaco, Rosso Ferrari F1-75 and Rosso F1-75 Opaco — which are one paint. No paint code has been published for it; the 20-R-187 once shown here is the 330 GT Registry's 1960s code for a period "Rosso Ferrari" and was attached by name.
The story of Rosso F1-75 Opaco
Ferrari revealed its 2022 Formula 1 car, the F1-75, on 17 February 2022 with a black-and-red livery, its color scheme revised after the departure of sponsor Philip Morris International. In late March 2022, with the team leading both championships after two races, Ferrari made the car's shade available to road-car buyers as Rosso F1-75 Opaco. Italian reports said the paint was the same color found on the single-seater's bodywork, that it joined seven other reds in Ferrari's palette and was offered across the whole range including the forthcoming Purosangue; Motor1 described it as darker than Rosso Corsa with a satin rather than glossy finish. Wikipedia records the F1-75 as Ferrari's first car to the 2022 regulations, with four wins and 20 podiums from 22 races.
