The story of Rosso Fuoco
Rosso Fuoco is a three-layer special paint: a FerrariChat member reported in 2011 that the dealer's FF book listed it among that model's three-layer colors, and Ferrari's magazine in 2018 named it among the special colors viewable on the configurator. Its most prominent appearance came in September 2017, when Ferrari built a one-of-a-kind LaFerrari Aperta for its 70th anniversary in metallic Rosso Fuoco with a metallic Bianco Italia double racing stripe. Sold by RM Sotheby's at Fiorano on 9 September 2017, it brought €8,300,000 free of commission — a world record for a 21st-century automobile — all of it donated to Save the Children.
