About Rosso Fiorano
On the darker end of Ferrari's reds, with a metallic flake that shows in sunlight. Named after Ferrari's Fiorano test track (opened 1972); Ferrari's magazine lists it among its historical shades, and it was a catalog option on the 360 Modena (see the story).
The story of Rosso Fiorano
Rosso Fiorano takes its name from Ferrari's private test track, built on farmland beside the Maranello factory; work began in 1971 and the circuit opened on 8 April 1972. Ferrari's magazine lists the color with Rosso Dino among its "Historical" shades. It was a catalog option on the 360 Modena: RM Sotheby's cataloged chassis 118744, a 2000 car sold in Zurich in October 2025 for CHF 172,500, as one of only 106 examples of the model finished in Rosso Fiorano. Owners on FerrariChat in 2005 reported a 1999 360 Modena in the color and said Ferrari had dropped it for the F430. Wikipedia dates the Fiorano Circuit, in Fiorano Modenese, to construction in 1971 and an opening on 8 April 1972, 3 km long.
