The story of Rame Opaco
The period codes attached to this name belong to Rame, a copper: the 330 GT Registry's Italver paint-chip set for Pininfarina cars lists Rame 23584 A, and a FerrariChat-compiled list has Rame 106-R-49, Rame Met. 106-R-49 and Rame Kupfer 23584 A; neither contains a Rame Opaco. The name Rame Opaco itself appears in ROSSOautomobili's December 2020 roundup as a unique, bespoke factory matte paint on a LaFerrari, which the owner is said to have requested as a tribute to his excavation company. Italian press reports of a LaFerrari photographed in Monte Carlo in March 2017 describe a matte Bronzo Opaco developed by Ferrari's Tailor Made department, and ROSSO's image file for its Rame Opaco entry carries that Bronzo Opaco name.
