About Marrone Scuro
Estimated from the body panels of the ROSSOautomobili photo (M. Brandon Motorcars’ F12berlinetta, sunlit door and rear quarter; 28% of the sampled region). A deep chocolate brown, as the name says. Corrected 2026-10-01: the earlier value (#AB8A65) had sampled the sunlit tarmac in front of the car rather than the paint. ROSSOautomobili lists it in "34 Ferrari colors you have never heard about". No color chip has been published for this name.
The story of Marrone Scuro
Marrone Scuro is a dark brown that ROSSOautomobili places at the opposite end of Ferrari's brown spectrum, used on only a few models, with an F12berlinetta photographed by M. Brandon Motorcars as its example. One documented car is a 2017 F12berlinetta 70th Anniversary Edition, chassis ZFF74UFA9H0228828, one of 70 anniversary cars built across the 2017 range and delivered new to Ferrari of Los Angeles: Bring a Trailer sold it for $401,000 on November 9, 2023, describing a livery dubbed "The Actor", inspired by the 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso owned by Steve McQueen, in Marrone Scuro with Argento Nürburgring dream lines over Saddle Soft Naturale leather. The name is absent from the 1960s–80s code tables of the 330 GT Registry, the Ferrari 400 blog and 308-328.com.
