About Giallo Triplo Strato
Kept separate from Giallo Tre Strati, the 70th-anniversary 'Bold Yellow' whose sticker reads 'Giallo Cod. 64059355'; RM Sotheby's uses both names for that car.
The story of Giallo Triplo Strato
Giallo Triplo Strato is a multi-layer yellow that Ferrari also writes as Giallo Tristrato. Carpaints.co lists it as a four-layer pearlescent made by PPG, notes that modern Ferrari specifications give four layers despite the three in the name, and records the alias giallo tristrato. Gooding & Company offered a 2015 LaFerrari, chassis ZFF76ZFA2F0210482, delivered new to a California collector in June 2015 in special-order Giallo Triplo Strato, at Amelia Island in 2017. RM Sotheby's sold a 2023 Daytona SP3, chassis 297567, configured through Ferrari's Atelier program in Giallo Triplo Strato with Nero racing stripes, for $17,825,000 at Monterey in 2026. The same auction house's text for the 70th-anniversary "Bold Yellow" 488 Spider calls that car's paint both Giallo Tre Strati and Giallo Triplo Strato.
