About Giallo Montecarlo
Giallo Montecarlo is a modern Ferrari paint introduced on the SF90 Spider as its communication color in November 2020. Compared to the best known Ferrari yellow, Giallo Modena, Montecarlo is much less of a pure yellow and leans more towards a gold tone, especially under some direct light.
The story of Giallo Montecarlo
Giallo Montecarlo was introduced on the SF90 Spider. Ferrari presented the car at an online press conference on November 13, 2020, and the French-language motoring site Wheels and You, reporting that day, wrote that the Spider was unveiled in a new exclusive shade called Giallo Monte Carlo, developed to bring out the car's lines. ROSSOautomobili also dates the color to the 2020 SF90 Spider and describes a gold appearance; carpaints.co records it as the SF90 Spider's main communication color, with a gold glow in the sun, and documents a Purosangue and a 12Cilindri in the same paint. A matte version, Giallo Montecarlo Opaco, has been photographed on a 296 GTS. Monte Carlo, Wikipedia records, is the Monaco quarter of the Place du Casino and most of the Grand Prix circuit; no page says why the yellow carries the name.
