The story of Blu Ghibli Cup
Blu Ghibli Cup is an Extra-Campionario color documented on a single 2011 599 GTO sold through DK Engineering in Britain. The dealer's listing says the car was supplied new by Cornes Ferrari Japan and that the color pays tribute to the Blu Francia livery of the Maserati Ghibli Cup of the 1990s; the car also has Extra-Campionario blue-tinted carbon fiber, Blu Scuro leather and Alcantara seats, a body-colored roof with no livery and Classiche certification, and showed 3,450 miles. ROSSOautomobili likewise calls it originally a Maserati color first used on the Ghibli Cup of 1995–97 and very close to Azzurro Dino. Wikipedia records the Ghibli Cup as the limited edition shown at the December 1995 Bologna show, its 2.0-liter V6 rated at 330 PS.
