About Celeste
Estimated from the dominant body color of the carpaints.co photo (Ferrari 812 GTS; 36% of frame). Celeste is a historic Ferrari paint that dates back to the 60s when it first featured on the 275. It was reintroduced with the Ferrari Anni ’50-’60 color collection in 2007, during Ferrari’s 60th anniversary year. It's a very light blue metallic that's since remained available as a Tailor Made paint and one that we've seen appear on a lot of the recent models.
The story of Celeste
The 330 GT Registry's paint list, drawn from documentation in which Ferrari supplied the original paint information, includes Celeste 19321 M, an Italver code translated as sky blue, and a Scaglietti 275 GTB chip book on the same page shows Celeste Metallizzato 106-A-16. Short-nose 275 GTB chassis 07037, completed March 11, 1965, went to J.H. Keller of Zurich in Celeste over Nero Connolly leather. Long-nose chassis 8407, delivered April 19, 1966, to Franco Britannic Autos, was restored to its original Celeste Metallizzato and sold for €2,371,640 at Artcurial's Rétromobile sale in 2025. Ferrari's magazine notes that Peter Sellers' 275 GTB/4 was originally Celeste before a repaint in red. At Geneva in March 2007 Ferrari reoffered Celeste Met on the 612 Scaglietti, pairing it with the 1953 375 America.
