The story of Rosso Scuderia
Ferrari describes Rosso Scuderia as a lighter shade than Rosso Corsa and as a historic color of its Formula 1 team; Formula 1's own site says the lighter red was created to stand out better on television. On road cars it is documented from the 360 Challenge Stradale: RM Sotheby's sold an example first registered in January 2004 for £149,500 in 2022. The 400th and last Enzo, built in 2005 as a gift for Pope John Paul II and auctioned at Maranello for tsunami relief at his request, was finished in Rosso Scuderia — a color the catalog called seldom seen on Enzos; it resold for $6,050,000 in 2015. A manual 599 GTB Fiorano in Rosso Scuderia made $610,000 at Gooding in 2024.
