About Grigio Ingrid
Grigio Ingrid is a Ferrari paint named after the Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman and the same shade of grey she chose for the Ferrari 375 MM in 1954. Although Ferrari calls it grey, it's more of a silver with a light champagne / bronze tone, exclusively available as a Tailor Made option.
The story of Grigio Ingrid
Grigio Ingrid takes its name, Ferrari's Tailor Made site says, from the 375 MM Berlinetta bodied by Pinin Farina, a one-off commissioned by the film director Roberto Rossellini for the actress Ingrid Bergman, whom Rossellini married in May 1950, Wikipedia records. Broad Arrow's catalog text identifies that car as chassis 0456 AM, finished by Pinin Farina in a champagne-gold shade and unveiled in Paris in 1954; Bergman never took delivery. In 2017 Ferrari's 70th-anniversary liveries included "The Ingrid", in Grigio Ingrid, on one example of each contemporary model. The name has also appeared on production cars: RM Sotheby's cataloged a 1999 355 F1 Spider as finished in Grigio Ingrid, and in October 2025 Kroymans Ferrari photographed a 296 GTS, a 550 Maranello and a Tailor Made California T together in the color. Carpaints.co lists PPG code 720.
