The story of French Racing Blue
French Racing Blue is a name Ferrari carries in English. Tom Hartley Jnr sold a UK-supplied 2023 812 Competizione, chassis 291966, ordered with special two-layer paint in French Racing Blue and a livery in Nero DS and Giallo Fly. In April 2025 a Tailor Made 812 Competizione A was reported pairing French Racing Blue with Giallo Modena as a tribute to the 250 GTO of the Targa Florio. ROSSOautomobili shows the color on an 812 Competizione Aperta photographed by Ferrari of Central New Jersey and ties the name to France's national racing color — Bleu de France, per Wikipedia — and carpaints.co lists it as a solid gloss paint first released by Ferrari and also offered by Bugatti. Ferrari's Tailor Made site uses the name itself: an SF90 Spider in French Racing Blue Met, paint code FYM.*0261, and an 812 Competizione A whose livery is French Racing Blue, code FYM.M0931.
