About Avorio Le Tetrarch
Estimated from the body panels of the ROSSOautomobili photo (RM Sotheby's panning shot of 365 GTS 12163): the sunlit rear quarter reads #d0cdbf and is the value shown; the shaded door reads #b9b6a3 and the sky-lit rear deck #f8f7f3, so the photo brackets rather than fixes the paint, which Ditzler's 1968–71 table describes as a pale cream. Corrected 2026-10-28: the earlier value (#b9b6a4) was the shaded door. ROSSOautomobili lists it in "Did You Know Ferrari’s Color Palette Included These 25 Shades?".
The story of Avorio Le Tetrarch
Avorio Le Tetrarch belongs to the group of late-1960s Pininfarina colors that ROSSOautomobili says were named after Thoroughbred racehorses. The 330 GT Registry's Italver and PPG/Italver chip sets list it as 2.662.016 "Avorio The Tetrarch", its Ditzler table carries "The Tetrarch Cream" for 1968–71 as Ditzler 81729, and the Ferrari 400 blog keeps the code in the range carried over to the 365 GT4 2+2. RM Sotheby's has sold three cars in it: 365 GTS chassis 12163, the 1969 Brussels show car and the only 365 GTS in the color, for $2,205,000 in 2019; 365 GTC/4 14931, one of seven, for €264,000 in 2020; and 365 GTC/4 14921, built in January 1972, for €159,500 in 2022. The Tetrarch, Wikipedia records, was an undefeated Irish-bred gray; Tetratema was his son.
