About Viola Hong Kong
A Tailor Made two-layer metallic that flops hard with the light: carpaints.co describes it as "dark, almost black looking" until direct sun turns the flake bright purple. The value shown is estimated from Ferrari Beverly Hills’ photographs of a 2025 SF90 Spider in full Californian sun (door and flank, 38% of the sampled region) — a deep plum that matches how the paint reads on most cars; the Ferrari Colors blog publishes a much brighter chip (#824EA1), which is the lit-up flake rather than the body color at rest. Corrected 2026-10-01 from that blog chip. Offered as a costly Tailor Made option, it has appeared on nearly every recent model — SF90, 296, Roma Spider and Purosangue among them.
The story of Viola Hong Kong
Viola Hong Kong is a two-layer dark purple metallic that reads almost black until sunlight brings out the flake. Ferrari's Tailor Made site documents it on an SF90 Spider from the Inedita collection, "gloss Viola Hong Kong paint code fym.*0155", with a Giallo Libano livery that duPont Registry covered in September 2023; carpaints.co gives PPG 0155/0167. Dealers have shown it on a 2020 488 Pista at Ferrari of Austin, a 2021 812 GTS that Ferrari of San Antonio called a non-catalog factory finish, a 488 Pista Spider at JCT600 Leeds and a 2025 SF90 Spider at Ferrari Beverly Hills, and a 2024 Purosangue ordered with the paint sold on Bring a Trailer for $551,111 in September 2026. No source explains the Hong Kong name.
