About Verde Nürburgring
Launch color of the 296 Speciale (April 2025) — "a bold, extremely sporty and highly saturated shade that suits the 296 Speciale perfectly", says Silvia Capuano, Ferrari’s Pilot Color & Trim Lead Designer (Ferrari magazine, "Ferrari launch colors: the design process behind signature paints", 2026). The name nods to the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the "Green Hell"; Ferrari had already used the circuit’s name for the silver Argento Nürburgring.
The story of Verde Nürburgring
Verde Nürburgring was developed for the 296 Speciale, presented on April 29, 2025: Ferrari's release calls it "a very vivid green which emphasises the sporting spirit of the car", and its Color & Trim lead designer Silvia Capuano described it in Ferrari's magazine as a bold, extremely sporty and highly saturated shade, one of several greens created that year. Carpaints.co reads the name as a nod to the Nordschleife, the circuit Jackie Stewart nicknamed the Green Hell, though Ferrari itself says only that the name follows its heritage shades such as Argento Nürburgring.
