About Rosso Cina
One of Ferrari's early reds — documented by factory records on competition and GT cars of the 1960s, from the 250 GTO to the 330 GTC — and a softer, warmer red than the later Rosso Corsa (see the story).
The story of Rosso Cina
Rosso Cina is documented in the factory specifications of Ferrari's competition and GT cars of the 1960s. RM Sotheby's cataloged 250 GTO chassis 3413, the third production GTO, completed in late April 1962, as finished in rosso cina with blue cloth upholstery; it sold for $48,405,000 at Monterey in 2018. 250 LM chassis 6053, delivered in October 1964, wore what RM Sotheby's called the 250 LM livery of Rosso Cina over blue cloth. 250 GT/L Lusso chassis 5711 GT was ordered new in Rosso Cina over Pelle Bianco, and 330 GTC chassis 10211, completed in July 1967, was factory-finished in Rosso Cina over Nero Franzi. Bluemel's list of original Daytona colors includes Rosso Cina.
