The story of Giallo Dino
Giallo Dino is a 1970s yellow best documented on the Dino 246. Oldtimer Australia, offering a 1972 Dino 246 GT ordered by Maranello Concessionaires, records that the car left the factory in Giallo Dino, Salchi code 20-Y-348, and states that only 35 Dinos, 246 GT and 246 GTS together, were delivered new in the color. 308-328.com lists the same code, 20-Y-348, simply as "Giallo" among the paint codes specific to the 308 GT4 from 1973 to 1980. ROSSOautomobili says the shade was first seen in the 1960s, when the mid-engine Dino was the marque's bread winner, and illustrates it with a Dino 246 GT.
