The story of Blu Ortis
Blu Ortis 95.3.6159 appears on an Italver paint chip set for Pininfarina-bodied cars reproduced by the 330 GT Registry, beside names such as Blu Ribot and Azzurro Hyperion. A Ferrari 400 owners' blog lists it in the standard range of racehorse-named paints carried over from the 365 GTC/4 and quoted on order documents until early 1978; a 1979 Pininfarina sample it reproduces lists Blu Scuro 95.C.6159 instead. Bonhams sold 365 GTC/4 chassis 16025, delivered new through Garage La Rotunda in Prato, in its factory livery of Blu Ortis over beige for $258,500 at Quail Lodge in August 2014, and RM Sotheby's sold 365 GT4 2+2 chassis 18813, built in December 1975 and supplied through Charles Pozzi, in Blu Ortis over Pelle Bianca for €55,200 in Paris in 2022.
