The story of Blu Majorelle
Blu Majorelle is known from one car. Modena Cars, the Ferrari dealer in Geneva, unveiled a Tailor Made 296 GTS in Blu Majorelle at its 20th-anniversary celebration, reported on its official Ferrari dealer site on November 28, 2024, alongside a 296 GTB in Nero Passione; the two cars also marked the dealer's 1,000th brand-new Ferrari. ROSSOautomobili, which published a photo of the car credited to Modena Cars Geneva, states that the name draws on the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, where the French artist Jacques Majorelle used the shade on the garden's walls, fountains and villa, and that to its knowledge the color has appeared on no other Ferrari. Wikipedia's Majorelle Blue entry dates the garden's painting to 1924 and says the artist trademarked the name.
