The story of Blu Antille
Blu Antille is the color of the Ferrari Superamerica 45, a one-off built on the 599 GTB Fiorano chassis. Ferrari's own page describes the car's exclusive Blu Antille finish and says the design drew on the 1961 400 Superamerica Cabriolet. GTspirit's report of May 19, 2011, states that the car was made for the New York collector Peter Kalikow to mark 45 years as a Ferrari client, and that Blu Antille was chosen to match another car in his collection, 1961 400 Superamerica cabriolet 2331SA; the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser were finished in a contrasting darker blue, and the car was to debut at the Villa d'Este Concorso d'Eleganza on May 20, 2011.
