About Azzurro California
Azzurro California is a historical Ferrari paint, having been around for quite a while. It's a light blue metallic named after the azure blue sky of the California coast. The color was exclusively available as an extra range request for a long time but recently has appeared on the standard paint range again as a historical paint option for the 296.
The story of Azzurro California
Auction and Ferrari pre-owned records show the name on cars from 2000 and 2001: RM Sotheby's sold a 2000 456M GT in Azzurro California for $126,500 at Fort Lauderdale in 2018, and Ferrari Approved listings include a 2001 360 Modena in the color. A 2009 California cataloged as Azzuro California (524) over Crema sold for £72,000 at Iconic Auctioneers in June 2023. On recent cars it has been a special order: a 2022 Portofino M was advertised as specially ordered in it, and Ferrari Approved listings show it on a 2021 Roma and a 2023 296 GTB.
