About Bianco Avorio
Avorio, which means ivory in Italian and thus perfectly explains the look of the paint, an ivory / cream colored shade of beige. It's a historical Ferrari paint dating back to earlier models like the 365 GTC/4. Since then almost all models have featured the ivory paint color at least once, mostly through Tailor Made creations. The color has gained some popularity in recent years, with it now being listed in the configurator as Historical color.
The story of Bianco Avorio
Avorio is Italian for ivory, and Ferrari lists the paint simply as Avorio. In March 2007 it relaunched ten colors from its historic catalog for the 612 Scaglietti at Geneva, Avorio among them, and Classic Driver reproduced the catalog's pairing of Avorio with the 1953 375 MM as "a warm ivory that softens the car's muscular forms". The 330 GT Registry's 1960s tables carry Avorio as Italver 19375 and 19377 and, in the 1966 Scaglietti chip book, as Glidden-Salchi 20-Y-153; GTspirit wrote in 2013 that the color was born in the fifties and sixties and used on cabriolets instead of white. Carpaints.co lists today's PPG code 190 and says the configurator now carries the name as a historical color. Avorio Safari, a 308 GT4-era code, is a different ivory.
